Meridian ISD parents and guardians, since my last communication with you, we have had 2 ES staff members test positive and students in grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 test positive. While the overall number of Covid cases has declined, we have seen the number of Strep and Flu cases increase.
As always, if your child has not been fever free for 24 hours please keep them home and notify the school office. While MISD continues to provide testing for those who become symptomatic at school and can facilitate telehealth visits, we are not a clinic and do not replace the necessity for trips to your family doctor.
Please note that while the CDC reduced the number of stay at home days for staff to 5, for now the stay at home period for students remains at 10 days.
