Second graders have been studying local and state government in social studies Meridian Mayor Ryan Nieuwenhuis came and spoke to students about his job as our city mayor today.


Student Shout Out to these two Middle Schoolers, Logan and Nassara, for picking up trash in the cafeteria that was not theirs to pick up. Way to show leadership on our campus. Go Jackets!!

Student Shout Out to Eve Dirkse. Every week Eve has created the bulletin board in the cafeteria to display the Pep Rally theme of the week. She uses her class time in Ms. Brister’s Web Game Development to create designs to display the theme. She has shown to be very creative, dependable and dedicated to this task. This weeks theme is Senior Pep Rally. Thanks Eve for all you do to be a leader on our campus. Go Jackets!!


Students reviewed a health lesson in PE today while building Mr. Bones!



Mrs. Dunn’s theatre students visited our library for a readers theatre performance. Our Yellow Jackets enjoyed their performance!



The junior class is holding a raffle for this gorgeous quilt. Tickets are 1 for $5.00, or 5 for $20.00. All juniors have tickets, or you can send money to the high school office or library. Drawing will be held November 15th. Don't miss out!

Just a reminder that playoff volleyball shirts are due TODAY by noon! You may turn forms and money in to the high school office!
MES Families - Big Kahuna Fundraiser Item pick up is TODAY (10/27) from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Please make arrangements to pick up your child's items during this time period at the elementary school. Thank you!

The Bosque County Child Welfare Board has Santa's Angels Christmas gift applications available in the front offices of both campuses. You can fill them out and drop them back to the school office. These will be picked up by a BCCW Board member on November 7th.

Get your playoff shirts now! Orders and money are due by Thursday, October 27th at noon! There will be forms in the high school office or in Coach L. Schur’s room. You may turn money and forms in to the office!

Your Lady Jackets are playoff bound! Want to go to the game but need a ride? Let the fan bus take you! $2 to cover your ride to the game, then buy your game ticket at the gate! Seats are limited so don’t wait!
As soon as the date & time is set for the game, we will let you know!

We may be rooting for different sports teams, but we are all on one team here at MES! #RedRibbonWeek



Great job to our JH A team for finishing the season with a win against Morgan! We are very proud of the improvements that we saw from start to finish!

Coach L. Schur’s students have been working hard on their College Research Projects. Is your child one of her students? Ask them about their research! Great things are happening at MHS!
