Time to order your Volleyball shirts. There will be order forms in the HS office and I will be giving them to the players today. They will all be on Dri-Fit material. Short sleeve will be $20 and long sleeve will be $25.

MHS Students and Parents--MHS had a wonderful first day. It started this morning with Senior Sunrise at Yellowjacket Stadium. Thank you to Dana Henderson for addressing our Seniors with Faith, Family and Football! Today was a great start for the 2022-2023 school year! We appreciate you all for everything you do to support us.

As our students prepare to return to school tomorrow, help us keep them safe. Please remember to be mindful of buses and increased traffic on local roads and to obey traffic signals, specifically when school buses are involved.
Additionally, we have changed bus routes some which may impact pick up and drop off times for your child.

Today MHS Jacket Council members Abigail Dietiker, Daylee Gilbert, Mailey Padgett, Ava Whitman, and Brianna Ortiz along with Academic Advisor Amanda Spivey, welcomed our incoming 6th graders to the Junior High Hive! We enjoyed getting to know our new 6th Graders.
We woudl like to say "Thank You" to all those who came out to support our kids and school at last night's Meet the Jackets event!
A special thank you to Meridian Athletic Boosters, Band Boosters, Jacket Backers and the Meridian Locker Plant for their help and support in providing food for the event.

MES" Meet the Teacher Night" will be Monday, 8/15 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Students that have completed registration online for this year should be receiving your Back to School mailers with teacher assignments.
If you have not received yours, make sure you have completed registration online and that you provided complete student and guardian contact information. We look forward to seeing you all this coming week!
Tarrant Co. Food Pantry will be at MHS from 10:00-12:00 today!
We are 24 hours away from our "Meet the Jackets" event.
Athletic Boosters, Band Boosters, Jacket Backers and JH Cheer are joining forces to offer a hamburger dinner and sno-cones for sale beginning at 6:30 Thursday evening at MHS.
At about 7:15, once our volleyball girls return, we will begin the program which will include students from our FFA, Athletic teams, Varsity cheer and our Band of Gold.
We will conclude the evening with an auction for items such as reserved stadium seating with parking, a Sideline pass and several other fun items each benefitting out different clubs and support organizations.
We hope to see you there!!!

MES Families - Be watching your mail for your student's Back to School information. Anyone that has completed registration as of this morning, your teacher assignments and beginning of year information have been mailed out!
If you have not completed online registration or provided enrollment documents (if you are new to MISD), please get that completed as soon as possible. We will mail out your information and teacher assignments once that is completed.

If you are looking for an opportunity to support our school and be involved then mark your calendars for "Meet the Jackets" one week from today on Thursday, August 11 at the MHS Gym.
Our booster clubs have joined together to offer a hamburger dinner for sale. Food will be served beginning at 6:30 with presentations to follow.
The event will include students involved in Athletics, Band, Cheer and FFA.
We will conclude the evening with an auction for some fun items including reserved stadium seats and "sideline" passes.
