Meridian Elementary School would like to recognize Mrs.Lisa Brown, 2nd Grade Teacher, and Ms. Christy Hibbitts, PK Teacher, as Staff Members of the Month for February. This achievement recognizes them for being "Heart at Work" for their constant efforts to help make Meridian Elementary "The Greatest School on Earth". Spring Break is Coming!!! MISD will dismiss classes at 12:45 on Friday, March 13. MISD will be closed the week of March 16-20. Classes will resume on Monday, March 23 at 7:55 am. Stay safe and enjoy the break!

Elementary parents don't forget Thursday (3-12) is picture day! Forms went home Monday to purchase Spring pictures and/or class pictures.

MISD Leo's (Junior Lions) had a great weekend in Kerrville this past weekend as they participated in a work day and helped prepare for upcoming summer camps. Thanks to Ms. Weeks for organizing and sponsoring this trip with our students! Thank you for representing MISD so well.

Progress Reports are going home Tuesday for Meridian Secondary School students. Please check with your students for these reports.

Meridian Elementary had two of its talented artist honored today. Mailey was awarded 1st place for her drawing and Jose was awarded Honorable Mention for his. We are so proud of these two amazing artist. Congratulations!

Don’t forget the blood drive at Meridian Secondary School on March 11th from 9:00-3:00.

The Meridian HS Band competed in the UIL Region 8 Concert and Sightreading Contest in Cameron. The band earned an Excellent rating on Stage and an Excellent Rating in Sightreading. Congrats on a great year!

Track Meet Schedule Change- 3200 is at 4:30, all other running begins at 5:30. Field events have been cancelled.

Congrats to Meghan Bryan, Meryl Roberson, and Cody Warren Honorable Mention All Star Cast, Hayden Hewitt and Reese Errington for All Star Cast, and Delani Edwards All Star Crew.
