We had our CKH Traction visit with Misti Kilgore from CkH. During our visit, we had the opportunity to hear from a panel of elementary students about how CKH is going from their perspectives. Students also took away tools to share back in the classroom. We are proud of the leadership on display!

It’s the final day of UIL! We are headed to Rio Vista tomorrow, Friday, March 27th, to compete for those District titles. Here is everything you need to know for a smooth morning: ARRIVAL: 6:00 AM SHARP at the High School. DEPARTURE: The bus leaves at 6:15 AM. (Set those back-up alarms now!) RETURN: The final contest will be at 12:00 noon. We will return when all events are finished. FOOD & FUEL: Lunch: A meal WILL be provided for all competitors! Snacks: We will have some snacks available for the team throughout the day. Concessions: Please bring extra money if you want to purchase items from the Rio Vista concession stand (drinks, candy, extra snacks).

Come out to AL Williamson Track at Frank Pollard Stadium tomorrow for our HS Yellowjacket Invitational Track Meet. Field events kick off at 12:30 PM and running events will start at approximately 4:00 PM. Let's go, Jackets!

High School Academic UIL Reminder This week, our participating students will compete at Rio Vista High School for the UIL District Academic Meet. Competition Dates: • Wednesday, March 25, 2026 • Friday, March 27, 2026 Location: Rio Vista High School Arrival Time: 6:00 AM Meridian High School (please arrive early and ready to go!) Please sign up in the front office. If you are bringing a guest that is in another district or home schooled, you need to grab a guest form and turn it in before April 24th. ALL GUESTS who are not a Junior or Senior at Meridian High School will need to pay $15 to attend. This money can be given to Mrs. Hood in the front office or to Coach Krueger.

Huge congratulations to Aaliyah Washington on an outstanding performance at the THSWPA State Meet! She finished 6th in the state, increasing her total by 120 pounds from last year’s state meet. Her hard work paid off as she set new personal records with a 130-pound bench press and a massive 390-pound deadlift! Her deadlift not only marked a personal best but also tied the state record, which was surpassed by another lifter shortly after. We couldn’t be more proud of Aaliyah. The future is bright, and this is just the beginning!
