Coming into the season with limited experience can be especially challenging, particularly at a demanding middle infield position. However, Tate has continued to rise to the occasion. He has faced his share of adversity, but more importantly, he has responded in a big way when it matters most.
Tuesday night was a great example of his resilience. After committing two early errors, he showed tremendous composure by bouncing back and recording five putouts, making key plays to help steady our defense. He had an outstanding performance, coming through in critical moments to get us out of some tough situations.
As a young player, his growth both mentally and physically has been evident, especially on the mound. He entered the game in relief with one out and handled the pressure well, getting us out of the inning and giving our team a chance to respond offensively and stay in the game. Although we ultimately came up short, his effort did not go unnoticed.
I’m extremely proud of this kid! Keep up the great work.
