Out of an abundance of caution due to continuing icy road conditions, Meridian ISD will remain closed on Tuesday, January 27th. We will continue to monitor road conditions throughout the day on Tuesday and will provide updates as decisions are made.

We are closely monitoring the incoming inclement weather event. The forecast indicates that conditions will continue to deteriorate and not rise above freezing through Sunday.
No decisions regarding school on Monday have been made at this time. Please know that the safety of our staff and students is of utmost importance to us.
On Sunday the District will evaluate travel conditions and make a decision regarding operations on Monday. Information will be posted to this platform on Sunday afternoon.

Due to the forecast calling for winter storms this weekend. The JH Boys Basketball tournament in Riesel has been cancelled.
Out of an abundance of caution and due to the possibility of inclement weather, the MHS event scheduled for January 26th has been temporarily postponed.

Attention Parents and Guardians! Meridian Athletics will be hosting their annual Yellow Jacket Invitational Powerlifting Meet on Saturday Jan. 31st. In order for this meet to be a success we will need the assistance of our HS athletes. , if your athlete has a conflict with another MISD activity, please contact Coach Kerbow at jkerbow@meridianisd.org. All HS athletes will need to report to the HS gym no later than 7:45 am on Saturday January 31st. All athletes assisting with the meet will be provided breakfast and lunch. Thank you for assistance!
