Kindergarten wrapped up a great Red Ribbon Week with pumpkins in disguise, a pajama day that reminded them to follow their dreams, and sea of red.

Many families in our community have been impacted by the recent government shutdown, and now more than ever, our students and staff have an opportunity to make a difference. Meridian High School is partnering with the Bosque County Food Bank to help ensure that families across our county have food for the holidays and beyond.

We’ll be collecting nonperishable food items from November 3–21. To make it fun, we’re turning it into a grade-level competition!
🏆 1st Place: Pizza Party
🥈 2nd Place: Ice Cream Party
🥉 3rd Place: Popsicle Party

Students can drop off food items in the following grade-level collection rooms:

6th Grade: Bailey or Mr. Y

7th Grade: Alcaraz or Smith

8th Grade: Dunn or Gann

9th Grade: Norman, G. Schur, C. Kerbow, or Doughty

10th Grade: Baucom, L. Schur, or Sterling

11th Grade: Pittman, Reyes, Krueger, or Dagley

12th Grade: Kuykendall, Martinez, Carpenter, or Taylor

Weekly updates will be shared so everyone can see which grade is in the lead! Let’s come together as a Yellowjacket family to support our neighbors and spread kindness this season. 💛

📢 ATTENTION MHS PARENTS & STUDENTS: Modified Schedule for Field Trip Day Due to the Attendance Incentive Field Trip tomorrow (10.31) MHS will operate on a modified class schedule. • Please review the attached graphic carefully to note the adjusted bell times. • The day will begin with 6th period. We look forward to an enriching and fun day for our qualifying students at the State Park! Also, don't forget to join us tomorrow night as we cheer on our football team in Goldthwaite!

Thank you to all of the families who came out for our Fall Festival tonight. Huge thanks to our teachers, school board, and student volunteers who served tonight!

Come join us as we have our first FCA Prayer Breakfast on THIS FRIDAY at 7:30 AM in the courtyard in front of MHS! Several community members have graciously volunteered to provide breakfast burritos for this event.

Our 2nd annual Kinder / Senior walk will be taking place on Nov. 7th. We hope to see you all there!
