Parents of Juniors and Seniors--Tarleton University is hosting a TSIA Bootcamp on Saturday. Ms. Hughes discussed this information with the students this morning. TSIA is a placement test used by colleges to determine aptitude in Math, Reading and Writing. More information and a registration QR code is available on the attached flyer. The TSIA will be administered at MHS next Wednesday, April 6th, so this is a wonderful opportunity to prepare. Have a wonderful week!

Student Attendance is one of the most influential factors in student success.
As we move into this gorgeous Spring weather in Texas, we ask that you continue to send your children to school every day unless one of our excused absence criteria is met.
There is an article linked below from "My Texas Public Schools" that gives additional guidance on school attendance in Texas.

Thanks for your continued support in educating our children!

Kindergarten students worked hard to catch the leprechaun that was on the loose at MES. Last I heard, he paid them off with gold coins and made a clean getaway.

Spring Sports pictures will be taken tomorrow (Friday). Order forms are available at the HS office.

Tarrant County Food Pantry will be at MHS between 10:00 and 12:00 this morning.

This week we’ve celebrated the joy of reading with shared books, wacky dress-up days, and green eggs to finish the week.

Who says Dr. Seuss books are just for in the classroom? Mrs. Martin and Ms. Childers played Dr. Seuss games in the gym this week.

We love Read Across America Week from our heads to our toes!

All Meridian ISD Students and Parents; see the attached flyer to order Yearbooks for the 2021-2022 school year!

Reminder, this week at MES, we will be celebrating Read Across America Week and Dr. Suess' Birthday by dressing up each day. The daily dress up themes are below!

After checking road conditions & the forecast, MISD will start at our regular time tomorrow, Friday, February 25, 2022.
While this is an early release day to accommodate services for Ms. Catchings, we need our children in school.
Stay Safe, Stay Warm & we will see you in the morning!
Mrs. Edwards

Next week at MES, we will be celebrating Read Across America Week and Dr. Suess' Birthday by dressing up each day. We will continue promoting a love for reading with our students everyday and encourage you to do the same. Be on the lookout for a note coming home with tips for guiding and helping your children become lifelong readers.

Considering all factors, including current and anticipated road conditions and continued low temperatures, Meridian ISD will be closed on Thursday, February 24. Temperatures are not expected to be above freezing until after lunch on Thursday so we will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions..
Classes are set to resume at their regular time on Friday, February 25.
Thank You & Stay Warm!
Mrs. Edwards

Everyone really had TOO much fun on this special “TWOsday!”
