
Homecoming is October 1st! Support the Sophomore Class by ordering your Homecoming t-shirt. Orders are due by September 16th at the end of the day to the Secondary office. No orders will be taken after September 16th. Payment is due with the order, and no orders will be submitted without payment. Forms can be found at both campuses and with any sophomore. Our football players raced against each other to create Sumo Wrestlers out of three of our MES Yellow Jackets.


Meridian ISD will be closed Monday, September 6, 2021 in observance of Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 7.

Tele-health Available for MISD Students
Meridian ISD has teamed with Goodside Health Group to offer a tele-medicine opportunity for MISD students. The program is under the direction of Nurse Amy Warren & allows our students (with parent permission) to have a tele-doc visit while at school. Goodside Health accepts all major medical & common issues diagnosed & treated are: strep throat, flu, common cold and pink eye.

These 1st grade Yellow Jackets are buzzing with excitement that they won the spirit stick at last week’s pep rally.


In May, using concepts learned in their science & social studies classes, students in Mrs. Baucom's classes worked in teams to design Splash Pad prototypes. The students' projects were assessed using a rubric and the top 3 teams were honored yesterday at MES. Students also presented their Splash Pad proposals to the Meridian City Council this summer.

Our first Jr. High Volleyball game will be on Thursday Sept. 2nd at 5:00 pm.
Thursday, Sept. 2nd, our JV Football team will play McGregor Freshmen at 6:00 pm followed by MEET THE JACKETS! We will introduce all Fall Teams along with the Band. We hope to see you at these events! #NL

Meridian Elementary packed the visiting stands in the gym for our first pep rally in two years. Our cheerleaders did a great job of pumping us up!


Schedules, grades and attendance are now on for Parent Portal. These are turned off at the end of the school year and turned back on within the first few weeks of school.

It has been a great week so far at MES! Tuesday, the 1st students in the school received recognition for outstanding classroom effort and placed their leaves on our Character Counts tree. Today, the MHS cheerleaders came over to teach us all the cheers for week’s MHS Pep Rally!
