*Elementary News* - Be on the lookout for notes coming home this week for the Six Flags 6 Hour Reading Club. There are great changes to the program this year, so please read your notes carefully. The note also has a unique teacher code for registering your students and logging their hours online, so don't throw your paper away!
The next Jacket Backer Meeting will be January 20 at 6:00 pm at the High School. Please attend so we can plan for the Powerlifting and Track Meets.

Congrats to both Girls and Boys Varsities for defeating Ranger. Girls won 60-15. Boys won 63-58. Great job!

The Active Shooter Walk Through for this afternoon has been postponed until next semester.
Parents/Guardians: Monday, Meridian HS is having an Active Shooter Walk Through. Your student received a letter Monday to take home that explains it in detail. Please refer to the letter for more information.
Members of the Meridian High School Band (and Mrs. White) spread some Christmas cheer today and played Christmas carols for the residents of Hilltop on Main in Meridian and Sunset Home in Clifton. 🎄⛄️❄️

Band Fundraiser items have been delivered to the school! Students should be taking them home after school today and delivering them to their customers. All money still owed is due on Thursday, Dec. 12th.

Kindergarten Parents & Guardians - Due to expected inclement weather tomorrow, the Kindergarten Field trip to the Christmas Tree Farm has been rescheduled for Friday (12/13). Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.
Meridian Elementary School would like to recognize Ms. Michelle Sandley, 5th Grade Math Teacher, and Mrs. Shelbi Dickinson, Instructional BCEC Paraprofessional, as Staff Members of the Month for November. This achievement recognizes them for being "Heart at Work" for their constant efforts to help make Meridian Elementary "The Greatest School on Earth". Help us congratulate these two ladies for their dedication to the students, staff, and families of Meridian ISD.

REMINDER - This Thursday will be a district-wide early dismissal due to Academic UIL for elementary and junior high. All students not competing in elementary or junior high UIL need to be picked up at 12:30 pm. Buses will run at 12:30 pm.
