📢 Attention MHS Parents!
Just a reminder: Attendance Field Trips will take place every six weeks! To be eligible, students may have no more than 2 excused absences during that grading period. Tomorrow will be our first library lunch for students with perfect attendance.
🎬 Our first trip will be Friday, September 19th to the Cliftex Theater.
We know illness happens (my own son has already missed three days and won’t qualify this time), but when students come to school regularly and stay on track, it builds habits that lead to success. Let’s work together to keep our kids present and thriving! 💛🐝

Attendance matters at Meridian High School! Being present every day helps students succeed—academically and socially—and keeps everyone connected to school life. We know that illness happens, and it’s important for families to prioritize health. If a student must miss multiple days, please contact the MHS front office to keep us informed.
The first attendance lunch will take place this Thursday for all students with perfect attendance (no tardies or absences).
Parents: be sure to check for attendance letters sent home on Fridays concerning tardies or excessive absences. Staying on top of attendance helps all students thrive—thanks for your partnership!

Here is the latest information for MHS Dual Credit students from the president of Hill College. If you are still experiencing issues after today, please let Dr. Paceley know!:
From Dr. Mills: We want to provide you with an update regarding recent technology issues that have impacted Hill College’s ability to process applications, registrations, transcript requests, and access to the learning management system (LMS).
On July 17, our ERP system began experiencing significant degradation, which delayed the processing of admissions applications. On August 13, we experienced an additional ERP failure that prevented us from processing class registrations. Most recently, on August 25, an issue within our LMS temporarily blocked newly registered students from accessing their courses in the LMS..
Working closely with our vendors, we restored ERP functionality on August 21, which resolved application processing and class registration issues. LMS functionality was fully restored on August 26, allowing newly registered students to view their schedules.
These interruptions unfortunately created a backlog in processing admissions applications, transcript requests, and registrations. Our staff is actively working to clear this backlog as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience while we bring all records fully up to date.
We recognize how critical these systems are for our students and families, and we deeply regret the disruptions these outages have caused. Please know that we are implementing additional monitoring and vendor accountability measures to help prevent similar issues in the future.
If you or your students continue to experience difficulties, please reach out to our Dual Credit (dualcredit@hillcollege.edu) or the Student Experience (studentservices@hillcollege.edu) offices for immediate assistance.
Thank you for your continued patience and partnership as we work diligently to ensure smooth operations moving forward.
Sincerely,
Tom
