HS Football Scrimmage at Rio Vista this Friday Aug. 16th has been moved to 6:30pm due to heat concerns.
Join us on us TONIGHT at Meet the Jackets as we recognize our fall sports, Band of Gold, and FFA officers. FFA will be selling chopped brisket sandwiches, chips and a drink for $10. Food will be served at 6:00 pm. Meet the Jackets will begin at 6:30 pm in the High School gym.

If your MHS student (10th-12th grader) would like to take their TSI before school starts, there will be one more opportunity for them. Mrs. Spivey will be administering the TSI on Monday at 3:30pm. If your student is interested please have them email her at aspivey@meridianisd.org.
They must be preregisted to take it so they will have to send an email before 8am Monday morning to make sure they are registered in time.
The TSI is an entrance exam to take college classes. If they are interested in Dual Credit this school year, this is the last opportunity to get this done.
We will be offering the TSI throughout the school year for any students wanting to take Dual Credit next school year.

Meridian will have free breakfasts and lunches this year! If your student would like to purchase extra items please send money to their teachers or use the My School Bucks app to load money onto their accounts. Extra items are priced as followed: Meat item $1.50; vegetable item $0.50; fruit item $0.50; and milk $0.50.

Lil Jackets Football and Little Lady Jackets Volleyball Camps is in the books! Each of these young athletes showed up every day with a great attitude and with a willingness to learn. They all excelled in building up their fundamentals and skills. They worked hard and had fun!

This new and exciting program provides competitive video gaming for our High School students who compete against other High School students around the United States. Due to the City Council Meeting on Monday, August 12th, Meet the Teacher will be held on Thursday August 8th for both the Elementary and High School Campuses. Elementary will take place from 5:30-6:30 while High School will start at 6:00 and end at 7:00. We are so excited to begin a new year and are looking forward to seeing all of our students and parents!
