Just a reminder that MISD will be closed on Monday, April 8th for the Total Solar Eclipse Event. The students will be bringing certified Eclipse glasses home today so they can safely view the event. Congratulations to Tonya Garza for winning "Best Teacher in Bosque County"! She is one of our Kindergarten teachers here at Meridian Elementary, and we are so lucky to have her!
Congratulations to our Yellowjacket and Lady Jacket track teams for a job well done at the District track meet today! Our Yellowjackets are now back to back district champs and our Lady Jackets finished 3rd. Area Qualifiers will compete on April 10th at Dublin High School.
Reminder about the current 7th and 8th grade student and parent meeting tomorrow. It's not mandatory, but information regarding class choices for the 24-25 school year will be shared. We look forward to seeing you there.

4th Grade Field Trip- TX Farm Bureau Ag Day
Due to weather, the softball game that was scheduled for tonight against Covington will now be played as a double header on April 22nd in Covington. The first game will be at 4:00 and the second game will follow.
Just a reminder there will be no school on March 29th for Good Friday Holiday and Monday April 1st for Bad Weather Day/Holiday.
Friday's baseball game vs Aquilla will start at 12 noon.
Today's baseball game vs Jonesboro will be played in Meridian at 5:00pm due to field conditions at Jonesboro.
Due to the rain over night, it is too wet for shot and discus today in Blum. All other events will continue as scheduled. As of right now, the plan is to reschedule the shot and discus to next Wednesday (April 3rd) in Meridian when we host the high school district track meet.
Due to field conditions tomorrow's Softball game has been moved to Wednesday in Meridian @5.
