The UIL has adopted a new rule change for basketball.
The Texas High School Basketball Official Association has adopted a new Officials Abuse policy. There is a state wide shortage of officials with a main cause being abuse to officials at games. We encourage you to come to games and support our athletes, but please refrain from any form of harassment of the officials. Failure to do so may result in a ban from attending games. Attached is the new policy adopted by the THSBOA
Due to so many of our Junior High Basketball players being gone with band at the State competition this week, we will only have 1 Junior High Boys Team this week. Game times for this Thursday's Junior High Basketball games vs Blum in Meridian will be as follows:
7th Girls - 5:00 pm
8th Girls - 6:00 pm
JH Boys - 7:00 pm

UPDATE ABOUT YOUTH FOOTBALL 🏈 Unfortunately the Junior team fell short on the first playoff game, but we are so proud of how their season ended! Those boys hustled their hearts out. Freshman team will play first round this upcoming weekend since they were on their bye week. Senior team won their game, and now continue on to their division title game. We will keep you posted about the upcoming Super Bowl! Go Little Jackets!!!
Just a reminder, High School boys basketball practice will start at 6:15 am tomorrow morning. Junior High boys practice will begin at 6:30.

Reminder Senior Football, Cheer, and Band parents please arrive at the Stadium no later than 6:20pm this evening. We will line up at 6:25pm on the track. Senior Night will begin at 6:30pm.
NHS will be hosting the Carter BloodCare Blood Drive on November 9th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Students who wish to give must be 16 or older with parent permission. If a student would like their red cord for graduation and are unable to give themselves, they may have an adult give in their name. In order to earn the red cord, they must have 2 donations.
