MES Families - Due to the change in Pep Rally times, elementary students will not attend Friday's Pep Rally. We will remain on campus. Students can still show their Yellow Jacket support on Friday by dressing in the spirit theme for the week - Western/Cowboy!
The pep rally this Friday will be held during Jacket Period at 10:25 am. We hope to see you there!
Football Schedule Changes- Due to the official shortage around the state our Football Game vs Dawson @ Home scheduled for Friday Oct. 7th has been moved to Thursday Oct. 6th @ Home, Kickoff will be at 7pm. Due this change JH Football game vs Dawson will have to be moved to Wednesday Oct. 5th @ Dawson Kickoff will be at 5pm. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
*MES Families* Our Big Kahuna Fundraiser kicked off today! Please check your student's backpack for the fundraiser packet. We are accepting brochure sales this year, but we are encouraging everyone to continue to use the ONLINE sales feature. We've had great success with online sales the past 2 years & love the ease it provides for everyone involved. Thank you for your help and for supporting Meridian Elementary!
Kindergarten learners in Mrs. Garza’s class learned about Johnny Appleseed and graphed their own apple preferences.
We have 2 weeks left in our Fan Cloth fundraiser, and we are 1/4 of the way to meeting our goal. Take a look at all of the merchandise developed for Meridian ISD. You do need to put the name of a junior in the box marked Player/Student. See the attached list of juniors.

Lady Jackets win first district game tonight!! Go Lady Jackets!!
MES stepped into our “new” building 14 years ago this week, and we are building ourselves up stronger each day.
After tonight's game, there will be a 5th Quarter event at the Chisholm Trail Plaza for 6th -12th grade students.
Once students arrive, they must stay inside the plaza at all times. The event will conclude at 11:45 pm.
This event is sponsored by: FUMC, Bosque County Cowboy Church, Riverside Baptist, Calvary Family Worship and FBC Meridian. Please be sure and thank these groups for their willingness to host an event for our students.
Seniors are working on their Apply Texas this week. We invited teachers to wear their favorite college t-shirt today and use it as an opportunity to discuss college and trade schools with their students. Go Jackets!!

We will be recognizing our Little Sister, Big Sister Mentor Volleyball Program before the Black and Gold game tomorrow. Please plan on having your daughter there between 4:30 and 4:40 so that we can do introductions at 4:45. After the game, around 6-6:15, we will have a pizza party in the cafeteria.
Just a reminder- if your child wants to attend the FCA GameDay Volleyball game at Baylor on 10/15, order forms and money are due on Monday, September 19th!
