Our Lady Jackets put up a good fight against the Frost Lady Polar Bears but unfortunately lost 21-18.

Events for the week at MHS!
HS Girls and Boys All District Basketball selections will be recognized at the School Board meeting on Monday March 17th at 6:30pm in the Elementary Library. Please dress nice (no shorts, flip flops, or slides) All District selections are attached.
Congratulations to Aaliyah Washington for placing 5th in her weight class at the THSWPA State Powerlifting Meet! She lifted a total of 730 pounds! We are proud of you!

Come out on Wednesday, March 12th to line the streets and send Aaliyah Washington off to STATE! We will be leaving the school at 12:00 pm, turning south on Main Street, turning right on Morgan St, and finally turning left on Highway 6 to head to Edinburg, Tx!
Great job to Anthony Alonzo and Zeek Mabry, who placed 6th place in their respective weight classes at the THSPA Region 2 Divison 4 Powerlifting Meet. They both represented Meridian ISD very well!

I hope everyone spends their Spring Break with their loved ones and catches up on some much needed rest! This Hive Happenings is JAM-PACKED! I had to get two weeks worth in, since I will not post again until Friday, March 21st. Everyone stay safe and have fun!

Summer Strength and Conditioning Program UPDATE! We will have an open weight room/open gym time scheduled instead of organized group workouts during the month of June. The Athletic Department has set a goal of 90% attendance for the Strength, Conditioning, and Skills workouts for all high school and junior high athletes throughout the month of July. We would greatly appreciate our parents in encouraging their athletes to hold a TEAM mentality and help them in achieving this goal! Cross Country, Volleyball, and Football practices will begin on Monday, August 4, 2025.
The Band of Gold celebrated today on their hard work this week! Now on to preparing for their Texas Capitol performance on March 25.
