Meridian Community! We are excited that we will be able to resume with the Homecoming parade, with a slight adjustment in our parade route. Please note the new route will start at the Methodist church at 7 PM and end at the High School Gym for the community pep rally beginning immediately following the parade.

After evaluating the weather conditions, conditions of the field, and the amount of water in the parking lot, the decision has been made to move the Community Pep Rally to the High School gym. There will also be no parade.
This decision was made in the best interest of our student athletes, band members, and HOCO court. We will still recognize all of the Homecoming Court, athletes, and businesses (if you signed up for the parade) during the pep rally in the gym tonight at 7 p.m.
Come out and support your Lady Jackets before heading to the parade this evening! JV will play at 4 and Varsity will play after! We will be back in our High School gym!

JH & HS Football players will need to arrive at the Methodist Church no later than 6:30pm on Tuesday Sept. 24, to receive their jersey and load the float for the Homecoming Parade. We will have separate trailers for JH & HS football players. Your athlete may bring candy to throw if they would like. Parade begins at 7:00pm. Football players will need to return their jerseys to the Football Field House after the Pep rally.
The Meridian Athletic Department has started a Character Development Program titled 2Words. This week the 2Words are Feelings/Standards. I have attached the Family Lesson for Week 1, so that families can discuss the 2Words futher at home, if they choose.
JH Football will kickoff at 5:30pm on Thursday Sept. 26th @ Hubbard.

MHS is asking for donations of old towels and/or sheets to wrap the letters for the burning of MHS. If possible, please bring these items in by Friday, Sept. 20th. Mrs. Pribble will accept items at MES and Miss Rosales will accept items in the office at MHS.
On Monday, we will wrap our MHS with these items in order to light them for our Homecoming Community Pep Rally.
Reminder that tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the MHS Varsity Cheer Mini Camp. Please make sure that you fill out the form before 3pm tomorrow so that shirts can be ordered. If you have any questions please reach out to Coach T. Taylor: ttaylor@meridianisd.org.
