MES- The Big Kahuna Party Bus Ride will be Monday February 5th. Permission slips will be coming home. Please sign and return to school by Friday February 2nd.


Due to Kopperl not having a JV boys basketball team, tomorrow's high school basketball games in Kopperl have been moved up. The varsity girls game will start at 5:00 with the varsity boys to follow.

The senior class parent meeting that was scheduled for tonight (1/29) has been postponed to a later date. Once that date is set, we will let you know.

We are excited to announce that our annual book fair is coming soon to MES, February 9-16th (the evening of 2-15 will be Family Night 5:30-7 pm)! Tonight's basketball games against Covington are in Meridian. The JV boys will tipoff at 5:00, followed by Teacher appreciation night before the Varsity girls game. The varsity boys game will follow the varsity girls game around 7:15.

"Jackets Against Drugs" program has kicked off for our 5th graders!


We will have an FFA meeting with parents and students this evening at 7:00 pm in the MHS Cafeteria. We hope to see you there.

Come out and support your Lady Jackets and Jacket basketball teams tonight against Morgan! Lady Jackets will tip off at 6:00 followed at 7:15 by the boys game. All games are in Meridian.

High school basketball games will be played tonight in Blum. Varsity girls starting at 5:00, and varsity boys at 6:00.

HS Athletes be dressed and ready to go @ 10am Tuesday morning.

MISD will have a delayed start tomorrow, Tuesday January 16th. Although the highways seem clear; the County Roads may not be. Out of an abundance of caution; buses will run 2 hours late and school will begin at 10:00 am. If at any time information changes, we will post it here. Stay safe and warm!


All athletic practices (basketball, powerlifting, and softball) scheduled for today, Monday 1/15, have been cancelled due to weather. Everyone stay safe and warm.

Meridian High School FAFSA night was a success. Even though the new process has had issues, many of our seniors were able to get started and some even finish their application process. It was a great night!
