The JH Football Game vs Bosqueville has been moved to 5:30pm on Thursday September 12th. The first half of the game will be a controlled scrimmage format. The 2nd half will be a live game. Come out and support our Yellow Jackets on Thursday as they open their season!
During the current global health crisis, doctors, nurses, paramedics, food delivery workers, police officers, firefighters, and others are on the frontlines risking their lives to care for those impacted by COVID-19.
On 9/11, many of these same people did their best professionals-ground-zero) to help those who needed assistance during and after the attacks. In response to these acts of heroism, my students have created tributes to honor these individuals for their support
and their heroism. These tributes included cards, drawings, and letters thanking them for their service. I am very proud of all of their hard work.

Today at approximately 1:30 AM local law enforcement, received notice of a threat to school districts across the nation. This threat appears to have originated from a “bot” . There is no credible evidence to suggest that this is a legitimate threat, toward MISD or any other school in the nation. We have performed a full sweep of our district’s facilities with the assistance of local law enforcement. In an abundance of caution; we will have additional law enforcement on campuses today. School and other events will proceed as planned. Meridian ISD takes no threat to the safety of our staff and students lightly.
Fall is here along with all the germs that come with congregating in classrooms and sharing common surfaces. We are encouraging students to practice frequent handwashing and sanitation, covering coughs and sneezes and using tissues. In the event that your student should develop a respiratory illness, please follow the CDC guidelines.
5th Quarter will be held at Chisolm Trail Plaza tonight following the football game. First Methodist Church & Hope Church are hosting. Go Jackets!
