*Home fans please park & enter through the north gate if possible.
*Visitors will enter through the south gate.
*Face coverings are required to enter.
*Bleachers & the fence are marked with caution tape for spectators to be positioned in groupings 6 feet apart.
*Do not remove, reposition, sit or stand where there is caution tape.
*Our Band of Gold will have their own set of bleachers on the track where they are more visible and free up additional seating.
Please understand that failure to follow these guidelines puts our kids and their season at risk with the UIL.

***Tonight our High School girls will travel to Oglesby for volleyball.
Varsity will start @ 4:30 followed by JV.
Face coverings are required to enter and must stay on while at the event.
***Varsity football will have their 1st home game tonight against Frost.
We will recognize our seniors beginning at 7:00 with kick-off set for 7:30.
In following UIL guidelines for spectators, face coverings are required to enter the stadium and need to stay on when 6 feet of distance can't be maintained. Each visitor will also complete a COVID self-check and be temperature scanned. Bleachers will be marked to help maintain distancing.
I appreciate your help in complying with these guidelines set forth by UIL. We are very thankful that our kids get to continue compete as many schools across the state do not.

Tues: Movie Day (Dress as your favorite movie or movie character)
Wed: Twinsday Wednesday (Dress alike with someone)
Thurs: Camo Day (Dress in Camo)
Fri: Extreme black & gold (Dress in extreme black and gold)
Busy Week Yellow Jackets:
Thursday, Sept. 3rd @ 7:00 pm: Meet the Jackets at Yellow Jacket Stadium, followed up with Auction. Make sure to park on the NW side of stadium, where a temperature check and mask check will be to enter stadium.

I have reached out to the Kerens Superintendent to double check on face covering requirements and seating. Volleyball will be in the gym and will be filled to 50% capacity. Face coverings are required upon entry and during the contest.
For entry into the football game, face coverings are also required and we can fill the stadium to 50% capacity.
Even at 50% capacity, there will be room for those wishing to attend.
I ask that at both events you practice social distancing among those not in your family groupings and adhere to the policies that Kerens ISD has in place. I am excited to get our seasons started and hope you can come out tonight and support our kids!

Our Varsity football team will be playing in Kerens Friday night at 7:30 come out and support our Yellow Jackets. Here are directions on how to get to the stadium:
Coming out of Corsicana on Highway 31 east
You will turn right on Bonner Street, there is an Ice House on the corner
Take Bonner Street South just past our Baseball field.
Turn left before the football field, there is a parking lot behind our Secondary School. We will park both Volleyball and Football in that parking lot.
We hope you are planning to attend our V/JV girls volleyball games against Kerens Friday, 28th. Games begin at 4:30. The following are directions if you are attending the volleyball games in Kerens:
31 East out of Corsicana to the Blinking Yellow Light
Turn Right at the light, it is Highway 309.
Go past the first stop sign until you see the school on your right.
Turn right into the school, and go to the 2nd parking lot on your right.
Enter into the gym in the Southeast Corner.
Meet the Jackets will be held this Thursday, Aug. 27th.
It will take place at Yellow Jacket Stadium beginning at 7:00 pm.
Each guest must pass a COVID self-check and be temperature screened prior to entry.
We will be introducing and celebrating our student athletes, band and cheer.
An auction will be held to include:
* a football helmet with the new logo
*a volleyball signed by the team
*a season pass to all home Varsity football games to include admission and reserved seating for 4
*a VIP parking pass for all home Varsity football games.

Bus 2 students are on the way!!

Parents of students who ride bus 2...the bus broke down in the elementary parking lot. They are in the process of getting a bus over to get those students and take them home. It could be a 45 minute delay.
We are so excited and ready for our students to return to school today!!! Thank you for your patience, support and faith in us as we begin the 20-21 school year under conditions which we have never experienced before. Here are a few pics of our new "school supplies".

We are excited to host our first home Volleyball games tonight at the MHS gym. JV begins at 5:00 with Varsity to follow.
Since we are only allowed 50% capacity per UIL, volleyball players were each given a limited number of tickets. Additional to that, we will also have tickets available for purchase at the door.
*MES NEWS* "Meet the Teacher" for PreK, Kindergarten, and PPCD is TONIGHT (5:00 -6:15 pm). For families unable to join us in person, teachers will be in touch with you and a virtual "Meet the Teacher" message will be shared online before school starts next week.
